Teen Voices Basics:
Teen Voices is a magazine written by, for, and about teenage girls and young adult women. With the slogan, "Because you're more than a pretty face" and an emphasis on activism, Teen Voices provides an alternate perspective on what it means to be female in today's world.
Writing for Teen Voices:
Girls or young adult woman between the ages of 13-19 may submit writing, art, or descriptions of activism, either using their online form or via snail mail. See their site

Writing Sample, from "Switch" by Caitlin Lavange:
"The bus driver yells her stop and Emma quickly pulls the stop cord and steps off. She stands in front of a very average-looking American white picket fence house. Just then, a black BMW pulls into the driveway. Emma throws her fleece hood over her head and cautiously steps closer. As Emma expects, the tall girl steps out, looking exhausted, hair sprayed tightly back, wearing a jacket that says Juilliard on the back."
