multiple submission

Definition: The term "multiple submission" refers to sending more than one piece of writing to a literary magazine or publisher at the same time. Not to be confused with "simultaneous submissions," which means sending the same piece of work to different publishers at the same time.
Examples:
Multiple submissions run the risk of overwhelming an editor. It may be to your advantage to send only one story at a time.
