I'm ready to step in those shoes
- This is a nice topical question as I've just finished approving the galleys of my novel. My projected areas of attack are 1) any local program highlighting activities and local talent 2) Writer's Digest magazine and its feature for 1st time authors 3) I have been given a possible option of my novel being mentioned in the company newsletter (country wide access) 4) don't forget the interview in the local or city newspaper. The most important thing any of us can do to get a book promoted is to promote ourselves. Get your name and face known to sundry and all. This mean gathering your courage and putting to a sticking point. Yes, you are selling the book and most importantly you are selling -- yourself. Be ready to deal with the slings and arrows of outregeous critics. Love yourself.
