The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle
- I loved this book because I liked reading about a completly different time period. I liked seeing how charlotte changed during the book, from a pampered, high society girl to someone who could hang iwth anyone and keep up with the sailors. I was a little disappointed that she went back to the boat, though. I wanted her to help change her own society and teach her family to be more open. But I did like that it turned out that the captain and her dad were just alike, and how we knew that from teh beginning, before Charlotte. I liked that it was sutble, that Avi didn't say this outright. We had to read between the lines to figure it out. I would definitely read another book by avi.
