Profile of La Muse Writers' and Artists' Retreat

Each of La Muse's five rooms include a desk, a working fireplace, views of the garden and the valley, broadband WiFi, and beds with wonderfully modern -- that is, comfortable -- mattresses. Cottages in the village, Labastide Esparbairenque, are also available for families or groups. Rooms run 550–950 Euro per month; cottages are 250–600. Some fellowships and barters are available. Writers and artists are required to stay for a minimum of one month.
