March Writing Contests

Deadlines for Writing Contests

By Ginny Wiehardt, About.com

Spring means writing contests and awards -- let the warmer weather inspire you to apply. Below you'll find the information you need to plan this month's submissions. For more specific information on each contest, click through to the site. Information is also available on this site on how to publish your short stories and how to know if you're ready to publish.

To submit the names of writing contests and awards for the month that I may have missed, please email me at fictionwriting.guide@about.com. To check out contests for other months, go to the list of months.

And read about our criteria for judging whether it's a legitimate contest or a writing scam.
