Austin NaNoWriMo Nature Write-In
"Down the short hiking path to the hidden waterfall, the breeze picked up a chill from the water, reminding us that despite recent 80-degree days, we were indeed noveling in November. A few writers shivered, but most of us pulled on our hoodies, exhilarated just to be outdoors with our books-in-progress."
NaNoWriMo NYC Write-In
"When I crashed this Day 11 2007 NaNoWriMo event, I found the writers relaxed, cheerful, and right on schedule at around 18,000 words. Erin, the municipal liaison (ML) for NYC, has long been the local NaNo cheerleader and organizer. She says that in NY, finding a space for the write-ins is the biggest challenge."
"Rocky" Write-In
"The opening chords to 'Gonna Fly Now' from the first and best Rocky blared from the speakers, and we started up the one hundred steps, motivated by the cliché, the universality of getting past the road hump of inaction and into determination."
Desperation Libation, NaNoWriMo 2007
"By the last night of November, write-ins will be more focused than ever, as wrimos attempt to reach the 50,000-word finish line. After writing so much in one month, the blank page will never intimidate these wrimos again."
