Ronald Knox

Definition: Ronald Knox (1888-1957) was a Catholic priest, mystery writer, and member of the Detection Club, formed in the 1930s. His novels include "The Viaduct Murder," "Double Cross Purposes," and "The Footsteps at the Lock," but today he is most famous for his "Detective Story Decalogue," in which he outlines his rules for writing detective fiction.
