Ginny WiehardtGinny Wiehardt's writing has been published in journals such as the Notre Dame Review, Shenandoah, and Hotel Amerika. She offers additional experience as an editor and a creative writing instructor. Experience:Ginny Wiehardt has taught writing to people of all ages through CUNY, Pratt Institute, and Poets House. Prior to that, she worked in publishing, first at a traditional press and then for an electronic publishing project funded by the Mellon Foundation. She has been the Guide to Fiction Writing for About.com since 2005. She is currently revising a novel, and her book of poetry, Compulsion of the Unlocked Thing, was a finalist for the Ohio State University/The Journal Book Award in Poetry in 2005. Education:Ginny Wiehardt received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Texas at Austin and an MFA in poetry and fiction from the Michener Center for Writers. From Ginny Wiehardt:As an editor and a teacher, I've always enjoyed helping writers improve their work, and with a background in publishing, I am well-positioned to speak to writers about the publishing process. However, more than anything, I like reminding fellow writers of why they started writing in the first place.
