She is currently revising a novel, and her book of poetry, Compulsion of the Unlocked Thing, was a finalist for the Ohio State University/The Journal Book Award in Poetry in 2005.

From Ginny Wiehardt:

As an editor and a teacher, I've always enjoyed helping writers improve their work, and with a background in publishing, I am well-positioned to speak to writers about the publishing process. However, more than anything, I like reminding fellow writers of why they started writing in the first place. The writing life can be a hard one unless we stay connected to the pleasure that originally drew us to the craft.
