May Short Story Contests and Awards

As promised last week, I'm posting info for last-minute spring submissions. Though it may be too late for contests in early May, there are a number of opportunities late in the month as well, including the New Letters Awards for Writers (May 18), the University of Georgia Press Short Fiction Contest (May 31), and The Writer Short-Story Contest (May 31). If that feels too rushed, however, don't fret. As it turns out, there are a lot of opportunities this June.
