Last Week, NaNoWriMo

Sunday November 23, 2008
We're nearly to the 50K finish line, wrimos. One more week. For some of us, this week will mean finding time to write in between Thanksgiving obligations. If you're visiting family, consider getting a hotel room, if you can afford it, so you'll have a writing retreat. If you're hosting, scope out where in the house or apartment you might be able to write. (There'll be wrimos typing away in bathrooms across America this week, I guarantee it.) Regardless of your circumstances, the end is in sight, so make the most of the impending deadline to get work done. As Chris Baty says in No Plot? No Problem! "You can do this. Just make the time to write, however much time it takes. Move forward, relentless, determined, confident."

And if you have stories from your Thanksgiving writing ventures, please share them below or in the forum.

I got a new lap top for Christmas Dell Inspiron 8 mini and as you may know it doesn’t have a CD drive, but I have an external CD drive to use. When I insert the Windows XP setup disk into the drive it doesn’t start the setup it just show me the contents of the CD. I’ve tried to click on the setup icon with the file extension .exe and it won’t start but jeust tell me that there is no application to run the program and i can’t boot from the removable devices either. SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE.

Is there a customer service phone number on the directions? Give Dell a call and have someone walk you through it. Good luck!
