Travel Writing Festival, June 15-18, 2006

Thursday May 11, 2006
This summer Shakespeare and Company, the legendary bookstore of Paris's Left Bank, will host "Travel in Words: A Four-Day Literary Celebration." The festival features readings, panel discussions, writing workshops, and documentary screenings -- best of all, everything is free and open to the public. Geoff Dyer, Andrew Eames, Tony Hawks, Brigid Keenan, Barry Lopez, Jonathan Lorie, Ruth Padel, and Tim Parks are among the twenty-one award-winning writers who will be there, sharing "their passion and their art." Also note the Travel in Words competition (deadline June 12). This year's theme is Travel by Train.
