PEN World Voices: The 2006 New York Festival of International Literature

PEN American, one of 141 centers of the organization International PEN, is hosting the New York Festival of International Literature, April 25-30, 2006. The festival gathers writers from around the world for six days of readings, panels, and talks. This year's topic is "Faith and Reason," and authors include Chris Abani, Chinua Achebe, Martin Amis, Gioconda Belli, Roberto Calasso, E. L. Doctorow, Nadine Gordimer, David Grossman, Elias Khoury, Yusef Komunyakaa, Toni Morrison, Salman Rushdie, Zadie Smith, Duong Thu Huong, Ayu Utami, and Jeanette Winterson. Many events are free; look online to purchase tickets for those that are not.
