Closing Statements in Da Vinci Trial
Saturday March 18, 2006
Closing statements in the Dan Brown case were heard yesterday. Despite the fact that Brown's familiarity with the claimants' book, The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail, was much greater than originally believed at the beginning of the three-week courtroom drama, things now look very good for Brown. (The Times has made Brown's entire witness statement available online. For those intrigued by the famously private author, this will provide more personal information than is probably available anywhere.) For writers, a verdict in his favor would be good news, discouraging future such lawsuits.
